Services and example ranges

Demo content — Ironline Auto Body & Wrap is a fictional shop. This page exists to demonstrate the KeoCodes Site Engine. Every service, range and timeline below is invented, and none of it is a quote.
Most body shops will not print a number anywhere. That is the whole reason people walk in expecting to be taken for a ride, so here is our list.

A range is not a quote. These are the bands the work usually lands in for a car of ordinary size and ordinary paint. What your car costs depends on the panel, the colour, what is hiding behind the bumper cover, and what the part costs the week we order it. A firm number needs the car in front of us — and on collision work it sometimes needs the cover off first.

If you are going through insurance, we will write you an honest estimate and hand you the same document we would hand a cash customer. What your insurer chooses to pay is between you and them, and nobody here will tell you a number on their behalf.

The full list

Collision repair
Paintless dent removal — $120 to $400 per panel
For a dent where the paint is unbroken and the metal is reachable from behind. Often same day. If the paint has cracked, this is not the right repair and we will say so.

Panel repair and refinish — from $780
One door, fender or quarter: metalwork, filler where it is needed, then paint blended into the panels either side. Usually 3 to 5 days.

Bumper cover repair and refinish — from $520
Scuffs, scrapes and small cracks. A cover that is torn through or has broken tabs usually costs less to replace than to repair, and we will tell you which way it goes before we start.

Bumper cover replacement, fitted and painted — from $980
Part, paint, and fitting. The part price moves with supply, so this one gets confirmed the week we order.

Structural and frame work — measured first, then quoted
The car goes on the bench and gets measured against the manufacturer's specification before and after. We do not put a range on this page for it, because a number written before the measurement would be a guess.
Paint and refinish
Spot repair — $260 to $480
One small area — a key line, a scuff on a door edge — sanded, refinished and blended.

Single panel respray — from $640
One panel, refinished and blended into the panels either side.

Full respray — from $6,500
Everything comes off the car. Jambs, edges and under the hood are quoted separately depending on how far you want it taken. Two to three weeks, and we book it well ahead.

Colour matching
Included, always. We mix from the code, spray a test card, and check it against your panel in daylight before anything is sprayed on the vehicle. Faded silvers, pearls and tri-coats are the hard ones — a ten-year-old car has not been the colour on its sticker for years, which is why we blend rather than paint to an edge.
Vinyl wrap
Full colour change, sedan — from $3,400
Full colour change, large SUV or truck — from $5,200
Cast vinyl. Handles, lights and badges come off so the edges tuck rather than sit on top. 3 to 4 days in the bay after prep.

Partial wrap — $450 to $1,100
Roof, hood, mirrors, chrome delete, or a stripe package.

Wrap removal — $600 to $1,400
Depends on the age of the vinyl and how it went on. Old film that has baked in the sun takes longer and costs more.

Before we book a wrap, we inspect the paint. Vinyl needs sound paint under it. Clear coat that is peeling or flaking will come off with the film later, and we would rather tell you that on the estimate than after.
Paint protection film (PPF)
Front-end package — from $1,650
Bumper, hood leading edge, fenders and mirrors — the panels that actually take rock chips.

Full front — from $2,900
Full hood and fenders rather than just the leading edge.

Full vehicle — from $5,800
Every painted panel.

Rockers and door cups — from $420
The cheap insurance: two areas that get chipped and scratched on every car.

Film goes on clean paint. If the car needs a polish first we will quote that as a separate line rather than fold it in quietly.
Detailing, correction and coating
Interior and exterior detail — from $220
A full clean inside and out. Half a day.

Machine polish and paint correction — $380 to $1,200
Pulls swirls and light scratches out of paint that is still healthy. How far it goes depends on how much clear coat there is to work with, and we check that before we quote the upper end.

Ceramic coating — from $850
Includes the correction the paint needs first, which is most of the labour. Coatings make a car easier to wash and hold gloss longer. They are not body armour and nothing we apply will stop a shopping cart.

Headlight restoration — $140 per pair
Sanded and refinished. Yellowed lenses come back clear; cracked or fogged-on-the-inside housings need replacing instead.
Timelines, and why they move
The usual bands — bumper respray 2 to 3 days; single panel 3 to 5 days; multi-panel collision work 1 to 2 weeks; full wrap 3 to 4 days in the bay; full respray 2 to 3 weeks.

What actually moves them
Parts on back order, more than anything. A supplement written after teardown, because the damage went further than the outside of the car showed. Paint that needs a second attempt to match — we would rather add a day than hand you a panel you can pick out in a parking lot. And weather, occasionally, on jobs that need a car outside between stages.

You get a target date when the car is dropped off, and a stage you can check any day. When a date moves, we tell you which stage did it.

About these ranges

Example ranges for a fictional demo shop — not a quote, and not what any of this would cost anywhere real. A firm number needs the car in front of us. On collision work it can need the bumper cover off, because impact damage hides behind plastic that looks fine from the curb. We write the same estimate for a cash customer and an insurance customer, and we will not state or guess what an insurer will pay.

Where your car is

How a job runs, in order

1

Teardown and assessment

The damaged area comes apart. Whatever the photos could not show turns up here, and if it changes the job, you get a call before anything else happens.

2

Parts

Ordered against what teardown found. The stage most likely to add days, and the one we will always name if the date moves.

3

Bodywork

Pulling, straightening, panel replacement and block sanding until the shape reads straight under a straightedge.

4

Paint

Test card first, then prime, seal, colour, clear and bake. Blended into the adjacent panels so there is no edge to find.

5

Reassembly

Trim, lights, sensors and badges back on, gaps set, and any camera or radar behind a repaired panel checked and recalibrated where the manufacturer calls for it.

6

Quality check and wash

Two people under the light booth, a test drive where the car is driveable, then a wash. Anything we find here we fix before you see it.
