Door needs painting on an eleven-year-old silver sedan. Reading that silver is one of the hardest to match. What should I realistically expect standing next to the car in daylight?

Realistic expectation: standing at the car in daylight, you should not be able to pick the repaired panel out. What we will not promise is a match that holds under every light source at every angle — nobody honest will. We spray a test card first and compare it against your actual panel, not against a paint code, and we blend into the adjacent panel so the transition falls where the eye does not look for it.

That is a straighter answer than I got elsewhere. Booked.
